I had not been flying my P4P v2 for awhile and when I brought it back out I was unable to take off manually. Only auto tske off. I can’t find a way to shut it off. Can anyone help?
@flywithmesdk Welcome back, it has been a long while. There could be a variety of reasons you are experiencing this occurence. Not sure if you tried this, however; for P series, hold down the left stick straight down for at least 3 to 4 seconds for the motor to shut down. Also you can always use the PAUSE button to make the AC HOVER IN PLACE so you can be able to grab it and then hold the left key down, all the way down until it stops . You can also remove the battery after hovering and grabbing i to remove the battery.
The problem isn’t shutting down. I want to shut off the auto tske off. Sorry i wasn’t clear on that.

shut off the auto tske off.
[/quote]@flywithmesdk You can disable auto takeoff prior to starting the motors. Don’t press the auto launch feature and check your app settings prior to starting the Phantom. Check for all firmware app updates prior to heading outside. Let us know how you do.
I’d be interested to know if this has worked as well. I have been researching this for a few days with no success. I used to run a few Phantom 4 Pros and never had this be an issue, so I too am interested to see the solution. Thanks @MavRik
OK. I found the problem and the solution. In the RC mode of the menu, I customized the control to change the stick controls. I wanted to make it more like a helicopter stick system than a drone stick system. THAT CHANGED THE CONTROL TO AUTO-TAKE-OFF ONLY. I went back to the default mode (2) and the manual take-off came back on. I tried to update the firmware, software, etc. but it just kept saying everything was up to date. PM me if you have more questions.
Excellent troubleshooting. Glad it worked out for you and I hope you continue to enjoy the Phantom 4. Although I only fly foldable drones now, I kind of miss flying the large Phantom around. It was so much easier to see than ANY of my drones, sans my Orange Evo I and Evo Lite+
Well, tonight I ran across the solution. I found that I had not shut off the manual engine start and take off. The manual start is an operation of the stock position. I had gone into the stick customize mode and therefore, changed the position the sticks should be into start the engines.
